As you would expect, we need to make you aware of the terms and conditions, for our own protection and of course for yours!

Introduction

These terms and conditions shall govern your use of our website.

By using our website, you accept these terms and conditions in full; accordingly, if you disagree with these terms and conditions or any part of these terms and conditions, you must not use our website. If you register with our website, submit any material to our website or use any of our website services, we will ask you to expressly agree to these terms and conditions.

Our website uses cookies; by using our website or agreeing to these terms and conditions, you consent to our use of cookies in accordance with the terms of our privacy and cookies policy.

Subject to the express provisions of these terms and conditions:

we control all the copyright and other intellectual property rights in our website and the material on our website; and all the copyright and other intellectual property rights in our website and the material on our website are reserved. You agree:

a) not to reproduce, duplicate, copy or re-sell any part of our website or content contained therein save where expressly permitted to do so by these Terms and Conditions or any Additional Terms; and

b) not to access without authority, interfere with, damage or disrupt:

(i) any part of our Website;

(ii) any equipment or network on which our Website is stored;

(iii) any software used in the provision of our Website; or

(iv) any equipment or network or software owned or used by any third party.

Customer Notice 

You should always check the contact information you provide is correct before creating a customer account or proceeding to payment. Our website is only intended for use by adults, as defined as those aged 18 or over and who have sufficient capacity to enter into a binding agreement.

Account Integrity

As part of becoming a member of PR for the People you will need to create an account, including a username & password. It is your responsibility to ensure that the information you provide is accurate and not misleading. You cannot create an account or username & password using the names and information of another person or using words that are the trademarks or the property of another party or vulgar, obscene or in any other way inappropriate.

You are responsible for maintaining your own username and password via our website. You should ensure that you store your username and password securely and that the details required to access your customer account are not provided to another party.

You are responsible for your customer account and any actions taken within it. If you are aware or suspect that your customer account username and password or other details have become known to a third party, you should inform us immediately.

The Membership:
Tier 1
Monthly subscription
– £25 per month (three month minimum initial sign up)

Biannual subscription – £140 charged every 6 months

1 year / Annual subscription – £270 charged annually 

Tier 2
Quarterly subscription –
£55 per month charged every three months.
Annual subscription – £594 charged once a year

Tier 3
Charged Quarterly:
£150 per month 
Annual subscription: £1,620 charged once a year

Both tier 2 and 3 operate on a three month sign up period. Both tiers are billed quarterly on a rolling basis. Tier 2 and three have access to private information which is not to be shared with anyone except the party who joins. Anyone caught doing so will be removed with immediate effect from PR for the People Membership platform.
You are able to switch plans once your initial period of three has been met, without incurring any further charge.

Membership represents a minimum initial period of three, six or twelve months depending on which option you choose. After the initial chosen number of months, membership will run on a rolling basis, automatically renewing on your chosen time period via direct debit (every one, six or twelve months). We reserve the right to alter membership plans or prices.

The first payment is due at the point of joining. Subsequent payments will be taken one month, six months, a quarter or a year from your date of joining depending on which option you chose.

You will only have access to the membership content while your membership is active and subsisting.

Membership acceptance is at the discretion of Lucy Sambrook and Toya Satnarine or any individual expressly appointed by them.

Late Fees and Cancellation

If you cancel your membership with PR for the People, you will not be eligible for an early bird members rate if you choose to re-join PR for the people at a later stage.

Late payment of fees will result in suspension of your membership until the balance is paid and an admin fee of £30.00 will be incurred.

Non-payment/late payment could result in further action being taken by us to recover the unpaid fees; under these circumstances, you would be responsible for any fees incurred, legal or otherwise.

If you wish to cancel your membership after the initial three-month period, you will need to log into your account and cancel before your membership renews and payment is taken.

Please note refunds are given at PR for the People’s discretion, we have the right to charge a £30.00 admin fee for anyone who requests a refund on their membership due to any reasons including failing to cancel before the payment renewal date.

Community Rules 

PR for the People (Members and Journalists Facebook group) is a safe and inclusive online space for everyone. Members must abide by the rules of participation in the group, which can be found in the FB group under rules or in your welcome email. Anyone continuously breaking these rules will be removed from the platform with immediate effect.

Any member who continuously breaks these rules will be removed from the group. Under these circumstances, the [monthly/biannual/annual] membership fees will be cancelled after the minimum 6 monthly term and one month’s notice period, not before.

Limitations of liability 

Nothing in these terms and conditions will: (a) limit or exclude our or your liability for death or personal injury resulting from our or your negligence, as applicable; (b) limit or exclude our or your liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or limit or exclude any of our or your liabilities in any way that is not permitted under applicable law.

To the extent that the Website and Content are provided free of charge, we will not be liable to you for any loss or damage of any kind.

We will not be liable to you in respect of any losses arising out of events beyond our reasonable control.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PR for the People accepts no liability for any of the following:

any business losses, such as loss of profits, income, reputation, revenue, anticipated savings, business, contracts, goodwill or commercial opportunities; loss or corruption of any data, database or software; any special, indirect or consequential loss or damage.

We always endeavour to ensure that our subscriptions are all up to date at the time of posting. However, our often change their positions and details so we do not provide any warranty or representation as to accuracy.

We reserve the right to discontinue or alter any or all of our website services, and to stop publishing our website, at any time in our sole discretion without notice or explanation; and save to the extent expressly provided otherwise in these terms and conditions, you will not be entitled to any compensation or other payment upon the discontinuance or alteration of any website services, or if we stop publishing the website.

Your data privacy and security are important to us. Please refer to our Privacy Notice which explains how we collect, store and handle your personal data.

Everything in Tier 1 and 2 PLUS:
A thirty-minute 1-2-1 PR coaching session with Lucy every month to keep you motivated, help you plan and reach your goals, and define which press contacts and opportunities are right for you.

Payment:

Charged Quarterly: £150 per month 

Charged annually: £1,620

 

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN TIER TWO?

This tier includes everything that can be found in Tier One PLUS:
Tier 2 includes access to a database of invaluable top press contacts to access at your fingertips, with new updated contacts added every three months. Short on time? This is the tier for you
A monthly zoom accountability session to work on your PR progress alongside other members and Lucy. Have your camera on and ask a question to Lucy and the group for feedback, or come along and say hi, turn your camera off and put your head down to get on with some work.
Buddy system – get paired with another PR for the People member every quarter to hold each other accountable and provide support.
Tier 2 is charged quarterly (every three months). We are a rolling membership which means your membership will be set to auto renew at the end of your billing period.
Payment:
Quarterly: £55 per month (charged every three months).
Annually: £594 (saving £60 for the year!)
